How to be more hydrated

We have all heard so many times that we should drink more water; but do you hate drinking it? Do you forget to do so all the time? The solution might be easier than you thought; here is how:

 

First of all, let’s see why your body needs water:

  • Better digestion
  • More energy
  • Decreased joint pain
  • Better temperature regulation
  • Detoxification
  • Healthier heart

 

What happens if your body isn’t hydrated enough?

Instead of just forcing yourself to drink more water, try doing these:

Pay attention to simple carbohydrates that, in the right quantities, can help your body absorb fluids and use later.

Here are some of the foods that will make you dehydrated:

  • Foods that are high in sugar

So try to avoid overeating them.

Last but not least, for a better and balanced function, try adding foods containing electrolytes to your diet; like:

Sunflower seeds, dried apricots, lentils, spinach, potatoes, beans, almonds, peanuts and many more.
