They are high in antioxidants and can help support immunity. Also grapefruits are low on sugar for those who are wary of their sugar intake.

Although as great as they seem, you should proceed with caution if you are currently taking cholesterol- or blood pressure-lowering medications. The compounds in grapefruits may affect how your body absorbs those medications and cause serious side effects.

The easiest way to consume this amazing fruit is to add it to your morning smoothie or just simply enjoy eating it like you would an orange.
